Joe’s Homemade Story
Joe's began with a simple idea: good baking should feel familiar, thoughtful, and worth sharing...and with an 11-year-old looking for a way to spend Christmas break and earn a little extra money.
What started as Joaquin's Homemade Desserts & Pastries grew from a single signature dessert: Black Sambo, a layered Visayan favorite I first learned to make from my grandmother. Introducing it to customers in Metro Manila meant sharing a family tradition with people who had never tasted it before, and its rich, creamy and chocolatey layers quickly became a bestseller.
Nine years on, Joe's continues that same commitment to quality and care. From our freshly baked muffins to our collection of signature cakes, every item is made in small batches and crafted with attention to both flavor and experience.
More than anything, I believe the best desserts are the ones that bring people together. Whether shared over coffee, given as a gift, or enjoyed at the end of a long day, my bakes are made to be part of moments worth remembering.

Super excited ako to share with you the homemade desserts and pastries from Joaquin's Homemade! I'm actually shocked at first when I've known that our baker here is only 15 years old, and started baking at a young age of 8! The biz started in 2017 in Manila, their first product was the Black Sambo and up to date, it is still their best selling dessert! They took a break for 2 years but came back with more products in Zamboanga City. 🍪🥧
I've tried their newest product, Cheesecake Pie, really super smooth and creamy! AS IN! Melts in your mouth feel din! I'm a fan of cheesecake kaya super nagustuhan ko 'to! 🧀🥧

Also guys, yung Banana Chocolate Chips Muffin nila, panalo din! Choco chips overload, ang soft and moist din nung muffin, which gives me a comforting feeling, they also have other flavors of muffin 🍌🥧

Cheesecake Pie 🥧🧀 HIT ✅
It’s not often that you can enjoy a plain cheesecake. Usually there are strawberries, blueberries, etc to top it with. But this one is an exception. The cheesecake base is really different that it can stand out on its own! @homemadessertsandpastries is a business based in Zamboanga but their products are currently available in Manila. And get this, the business is run by a 15 year old that started baking since 8 yrs old! Makes it even more impressive.
This cheesecake stands out on its own because the base really feels different. It doesn’t have the same texture that usual cheesecakes have. This one is really smooth and creamy. I felt like there was more cream cheese than usual. The texture was so velvety and it literally melts in your mouth specially when warmed. The flavors were great. Not too sweet and had a tangy zesty flavor to it to avoid the “umay” factor from cheesecakes. The top was perfectly charred/burnt for a nice smoky flavor and a different texture. The only thing I would change was the crust. It was a little too crumbly and didn’t hold much but wasn’t too big of an issue for me since the base was amazing!
Message them to order up! If I’m not mistaken, it’s ₱850 for the pie and I can assure that it’s worth it!
